Japan: Storming the Heavens

The grounds erupt underneath watery depth,
Ripples of seas angry now.
Rise to meet the shore,
Violence never knew
It's strength...

Homes, cars, ships,
Joining hands,
For a journey,
Out of control...
Into mudslid swallowing,
Like bobbers floating
then submerged...
In doom.

Grasping in the muck,
Human lives
Now putty,
In Sacred hands,
Some will live
To tell,
Others flailing arms in
dispair.

Grieve so gently now...
The night,
Sea drained of people...
Bodiless Souls,
Charging Holy Gates,
Smiling down,
At foolish Man...once again.

Blessed Ego You

Self made man of secret wealth,
Always stiffnecked never bow,
You found "you" to your liking,
Distant... you leave your audience.

Your smile has become a sneer,
As you reach a phoney emotional moment,
Quickly, you forget your victim and go..they are stunned.

As if a blind man you had become,
You ignore your findings while on the run,
And always reinforce your illusions of you,
Right or wrong you can't undo,
Although you never had a mind to,
Blessed Ego You.

Star Chased Memories

Her heart was shaped in a mysterious way,
Every inch a woman,
Yet with a strength uncommon,
Tears were her weapons

She knew time as though it was her brother,
And she spent it on life sparingly,
A little here a little there,
Until men fell at her feet

Every step she took was clothed in fashion,
From head to toe,
Immersed in wonder,
A sacred woman of the night!

She could get inside your skin,
And stretch your insides out,
Sending you home on your knees,
Crying for more

Indeed a memory I will chase forever
For her scent remains,
And my heart and body,
Still left in chains.

Alone In My Selves

Childish separations waking soul thoughts
ever walking in joyful paths
forgetting others to my demise
not to intend a thing
to leap over and through moorings I never knew

still the dawn
finding sun's light burning choices
displayed on my floor
chasing not to find the end
happiness slipped
over time
My chasened dreams
cascading over wishes flowing
to lose myself
                                                            whole

 Yet starry eyed
                                                             rose to newness
                                                          life embarks
                                                             shattering darkness
                                                        through tears
                                                     drippingly
                                                        real.

Hearts bridging Life

I rode by the cemetery today and your voice cried to me,
ever so sharp was the sound sweeter than a memory,
Sad to say I know your not here and there,
Just nice to know you still care.

Beneath the snow your stone barely shows,
Engraving now burried.. now nobody knows,
Who lies here,
My heart my dear.

I can talk to you now as the wind muffles sound,
I could never get a word in edgewise when you were around.
You challenged my faith my love and my strength,
Poured your very blood into our lives at length.

So now I empty my soul right here,
On this spot I leave you..my dear.
Sure I can ride by and listen anew,
Will I still be able to hear you.

A Teardrop knew me today.

Across the stars I searched my heart for wandering was to be,
It seems my mind was wrapped in pain and stuggling to be free.
On the corner of a thought I pressed my face,
against life's windowpane,
Emotions went on inside like a dusty old weathervane.

Empty meadows of sleeping warmth had taken my heart,
Her wishes had known me from the very start.
Every dawn would serve her every thought,
This heart now was seeking to be sought.

I crept in dreams she had of me when her eyes were closed,
And the memories we shared in that land need not be disclosed,
Suffice it to say our blood flowed in each other's veins,
And our love knew endless moisture not caused by the rains.

In the light of dawn she caught me there staring at her light brown hair,
Blamed me for stealing her dreams and told me to go elsewhere,
Now each night when my eyelids close to end my day,
My dream eyes cry "A teardrop knew me today."

Dreamlilghts

Nighttime is the peak of this,
Living in a state of bliss,
My eyes are covered, as it seems,
With scales of whistful, lazy, dreams.

Time is not..space is endless..finding my way...I'm Lost!
I'm running, but soundly sleeping, while memories are tossed.
I can do such wonderous things..you can't imagine,
For I have Father time in a box that only I can fashion.

He'll do my bidding..for a space of time,
and make my life fancy free,
While I engorge myself in life's splendors,
of things that can not be.

Now, we live in those Dreamlights that grow in intensity,
That shine their milky lights for all of us to be,
Those moments of endless falling that inspire our very being,
Hinting, what we might have been or what we now are fleeing.

My Loving Friend

Feeling, touching I left you there,
Alone and hurt, you began to stare,
In hope we could sense each other's eyes,
Opening tomorrows, and no goodbyes.

Our hearts entwined in the music of love,
The melodies enrapped us smooth like a glove,
In the dark, I felt your skin,
So softly smooth, you let me in.

Welcome here, I'll stay for a while,
And bask in the loving of your smile.
Sensual as I found you, the day turned to dark,
Hoping, all the time, your passion wasn't a lark.

Inside we both connected then, blind, whistful, laughing there,
As I enjoyed the purfumed scent.. rising in your hair.
Finally, I found the love I can not transend,
I'm alive ! In the arms of my loving friend.

She came out of the Blue

Radiant beams of light shades of hue, I felt Her smile amidst the dew,
Her Life devoted to enhancing ours.
Outstreched arm with glowing white stars,
She gave birth to our hope, deep and sublime,
On Whose majesty is based all of time.

The Romans were vicious, they spared not the whip,
She had to look at her innocent Child they had stripped.
Her heart had been taken and ripped to shreds,
While the lame who were healed ...carried away their beds.

What fear would She endure for the love of us?
What pain had She embraced without a fuss?
Her Tears must have quenched the hate She'd felt,
Or changed it to a love none other has felt.

Imagine your child: tortured, naked nailed to a tree,
For a group of people who spat and cursed His humanity.
Although,  forgiveness is a simple word,
The price She paid is rather absurd.
A simple virgin obediant and true,
Your better thank God ...She came out of the blue.

Spring's Decent

Unbending branches hold up their hands,
In worshipful praise to the sun's holy bands,
Heartfelt whistles echo the robins coy presence,
While blue jays steal into the nests of pheasants.

Alive is the smell of the pollen in the wind,
Giving always giving...until it's abrupt end.
Find, If you will, the whippoorwill's chant,
And the show-off mockingbirds saying "Who can't?"

Special are these days for carpets of green do evolve,
And evermore we seek the beauty that life does resolve.
In dying, the seeds of our life grow forevermore sublime,
For in our emptying our growth begins as faith upon the line

Tears of Love

My Mother taught us right from wrong,
She bore our foolish dreams,
In the days of our youth, she was always there,
To sew up all our seams,
She dressed us up in all she could afford,
A woman of modest means.

She patched our boo boos and broken hearts,
Form our childhood though our teens,
And I can't remember when it was..
When she instilled the love of God,
But in pieces thoughout her 80 years,
It is her faith that I applaud.

And if she bestowed a gift on us-that I must impart,
It would be the smile of an Irish Lass-emptying her heart!
In times of joy she would laugh so hard and wrinkle up her nose,
So fine a Mom I dare say she was - a wonder I suppose.
And in the wake of such a life,
She would not want us to be sad,
Instead she would want us to find,
The peace and hope she always had.

Our Mom was never perfect, a saint she would never claim to be,
In our lives and hearts she wears our badge of fame for each of us to see,
And if being meek and caring makes one look rather weak,
Our Mom taught us that it is a goal worthy for us to seek.

She would always tell us boys "simmer",
As if we were a tea pot on the boil,
But, hidden in her wisdom having patience and kindness was her goal,

Marion was a Glennon and very proud of it,
Irish through and through!
When your time comes ..look up ..to the gates of heaven,
Mom will be standing with St. Patrick praying for me and you!

The day of us

May I discover in her smile, a distant wind that blows for me,
One may question my intentions, her eyes they set me free,
And the mornings filled with laughter, shinning sun unto your face,
Ever wanting ever craving, no one could ever take your place,

Afternoons we would wander lonely bridges to nowhere,
Holding hands swinging softly in the breeze,
Hoping that something in the mid day air would send us there,
As we enjoyed the waters below our knees.

And as the evening pulls us in, we could see our breath in the air,
Nightime brought the cold frosted leaves a shiver of dispair,
Could this day have to end ever so dark and cold,
Let's go inside and light a fire the rest can not be told.

SHE

Her eyes could tempt the sun through the clouds,
She could entice the morningstar with her smile,
And be so gentle a spirit to dance with the mist,
No one could eclipse her shaddows on the snow.

Fragrant memories linger where she walks,
And high mountains bow at her every word,
Evening questions others to know where she went,
but nightime can't rest without her.

Small animals scurry to sniff her scent,
And birds carry her thoughts in the sky,
Emerald lover so complete,
Endless tomorrows ...with She...

Failure Is Never Final

When first you strive the pain is real,
Once your find that life has bit your heel,
A voice within you start to cry,
It's time to quit, and say goodbye,

You start again on life's crusade,
To achieve, to strive, just to have it fade,
From your knees you start to view,
What was a shell of the former you.

You start to wince when others may say,
"I love winning, I've won again today,

Failure is not where you are,
For there is no place so bizzare,
Instead it's a figment in your head,
And it's waiting for the winning thread.

To weave it's loom of promise there,
To help your failure return to it's lair,
So smile..and start to turn the leaf,
Of all the hopes and new beliefs,
To make the failure stand anew,
His life restored...and his future too.

Fall Never Waits!

Gasping, gently, I feel you today,
Stingingly Cold, you take my breath away,
The green hue is fading, fading quite fast,
But, Your Majesty pours colors that just won't last

As quick as the breeze had swept me by,
Your burnt leaf was whispering, "let me fly",
My ears would tingle for the sound made me shiver,
While the pumkins were plumping and their leaves would quiver.

Broken red apples exposed to their very seeds,
Wormed, bruised, rejected, left to the bees,
Later, at dusk the branches are weaving,
An erie vision as the stems they are cleaving.

Come with me now, for the the autumn is calling,
Yellow, orange, red and pale green are falling,
Listening, seeing, Fall Never Waits,
We have lost them now to the winter fates.

Hearts Enabled

Dreams discovered her blemished soul,
foreign to her was any attention from those around,
Swans floated in the quiet stream of her love,
Craning their necks to kiss her heart.

Abandoned by time she grew colder,
Akward memories danced in her head,
Of blessed moments in the spring and fall,
This winter exposed her deapest fears.

Could she face her shattered life amidst the flakes,
would she find her tomorrows face down in the snow,
Bolder now she stood to touch the sky,
Windows open she would learn to fly.

Snows drifting By

Time gave the whiteness a chance to be,
Echoes of shivering on the way to and from school,
Snow dancing in the wind like a crazy whirlwind,
Whitewashes made me cry back then.

Every snowbank was a new mountain to climb,
where I could slide to the bottom all by myself,
And snow could be caught on my tongue for tasting,
I would get snow in my boots and my gloves and my neck,
melting would tickle sometimes.

When it got dark and no cars went by we were alone,
Me and the flakes no sound just us,
Icicles, now those were simple fun,
you could lick them and chew them,
Last of all but most important yellow and brown snow....
don't eat...

Dreamers Start Here

Trees in the back yard

Green and majestic plants are hiding in the shade,
light chases them spotlighted and naked,
they are awake and so am I,
Coffee fills my throat as I gaze at the glade,
squirrels scatter under each new blade,
chipmunks are chirping louder now,
defending ground long burrowed and waiting for chow.
